As you may already notice, Advanced Video Systems recently completed major redesigns to their avsav.com and avbaltimore.com websites. The new user interfaces are cleaner, prettier, and easier to use than any of their previous websites over the past decade since they first established a web presence. "Unlike our previous sites, I think the newly redesigned sites clearly and simply communicate what it is we do as a company," says Director of Marketing and AV Sales, Dawn Meade. "The new sites are just one of many improvements we're making as we enter our 27th year in business–improvements we're undertaking to improve the AVS experience for our customers. So, enjoy them!"

 

 

AVWeek is an international celebration of the AV industry held the third week in October each year. Sponsored by Infocomm International - the industry's number 1 trade association - AVWeek aims to spread the word about the AV Industry and its professionals with special events and programs. Once again this year, Advanced Video Systems was an active proponent of AVWeek festivities in the greater Baltimore area. First, AVS lobbied Annapolis to have the week officially recognized by the State. As a result, Governor Martin O'Malley officially declared October 19 - 25, 2009, as AV Week in Maryland.

Next, AVS took word of our industry and our services to the street, exhibiting in two expos. They took part in the Aberdeen Proving Ground Fall Technology Expo on October 21, where they met with several hundred military technology buyers and end-users. The following day, October 22, they exhibited at the Electronics and Technology Careers Fair held at Lincoln Technical Institute in Columbia, MD. There, they met with over 100 Lincoln tech students and graduates from the Electronics Technician and HVAC Technician programs, and educated them about what AV is and what career growth opportunities exist in the industry. Both events were quite successful and Advanced Video Systems is proud to feature them in our AVWeek activities.
